Voting rules

Who can vote

Anyone aged 16 or older may cast one vote in the Sunshine Coast café category during the pilot round.

Eligible cafés

A venue must trade primarily as a café, coffee shop or daytime bakery within the Sunshine Coast or Noosa local-government areas. Closed businesses and venues outside the region are removed.

Voting integrity

One active vote is permitted per person for this category. Automated voting, purchased votes, coordinated device-resetting and other manipulation may be excluded. Unusual patterns are reviewed before results are finalised.

Ballot and results

The ballot is alphabetical while venues have equal votes. Rankings use valid votes recorded on this site. Ties share the same position. This pilot has no prize and no paid placement.

Nominations and corrections

Anyone may nominate an eligible missing venue. Businesses may request a factual correction or removal by emailing hello@bestcafe.au.

Community voting is open. The first Coast Awards will be scheduled when participation is sufficient to make the results meaningful.
